The human frontal lobes and their role in the organization of activity.

چکیده
The role of the human frontal lobes (and predominantly their mediobasal parts) in regulation of the two types of unspecific activation was studied. These types were: fast orienting reactions and slow changes in levels of vigilance. 92 normal persons and 202 patients with lesions of the frontal lobes and other regions of the brain were observed. As indicators for the fast kind of activation we used different components of the orienting reflex; as indicators for the slow kind of activation we employed slow changes in the form of the EEG waves. The data show that the mediobasal parts of the frontal lobes are important regulators for both types of activation.

P7: The Roles of Long-Term Memory on the Organization of the Knowledge for Educators
Modern neuroscientific research help to solve the impotent challenge in curriculum design and teaching for enhancing students’ ability to organize information in a way that makes it efficient in response to an appropriate context such as problem solving and critical thinking via knowing about the mechanism of different type of memories especially long term memory. At first, we should to c...
متن کاملزیر ساخت های عصبی کارکردهای اجرایی و اهمیت آن در آموزش و توان بخشی
Background: The "executive functions" as higher-level cortical functions with the supervisory and controlling role on the lower-level cognitive functions lead to human adaptive behaviors in the specific situations. These situations occur in the conditions in which automatic behavior may be insufficient. Executive function deficits in children may be presented with poor memory, problem-sol...

Purpose: This study sought to determine sex differences in surface anatomical parameters (thickness and surface areas) of human cerebral cortex in different lobes of the left hemisphere in normal right-handed subjects and right-handed subjects suffering from Alzheimer and Parkinson's diseases. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was performed on 72 normal human brains...
متن کاملVariations in Lung Fissures and Lobes: a Case Report
The Knowledge of variations in the lung can help surgeons to control bleeding during pulmonary lobectomy or might be used to reduce post-operative complications. Due to the importance of the knowledge of variations in lungs for clinicians, especially surgeons and radiologists, we report a case with lung lobe and fissure. During the autopsy of a 27-year-old man at the Legal Medicine Organizatio...
